How to

Evaluate many athletes at once

Rate one skill down your whole list, then move to the next. The evaluation saves as you go, so you can stop and pick it up later.

You need at least one skill set with skills defined, and at least one athlete on your list. Define skill sets and skills.
  1. Open your athlete list

Go to Athletes. The evaluation starts from the list, not from a single profile.

    Open Athletes(opens in new tab)
  2. Choose who it covers

Select Evaluate athletes above the list and answer Who is being evaluated?: everyone, the training groups you pick, or individual athletes. Select Start. The list you choose stays as you set it, so somebody who joins the club next week does not appear in an evaluation that is already running.

  3. Rate one skill, all the way down

The skill you are on is named at the top and stays there while you scroll. Give each athlete their rating on your organization's scale. Where an athlete already has a level for this skill, that level is marked on the scale and carries over if you leave the row alone, so you only touch what has changed.

  4. Move to the next skill

Select Next skill and work down the list again. There is no save button: every rating is written as you press it.

  5. Check what a level means

Your rating criteria sit beside the list, and the level you last pressed opens itself. On a narrow screen they are behind Show criteria. The line under the heading tells you which set you are reading: your organization's general criteria, or criteria written for this skill set only. A skill set with its own criteria is always measured against those.

  6. Leave somebody out, or take a press back

Under Edit who is evaluated you can mark an athlete as not evaluated: they stay on the list and receive no evaluation at all. If a rating went to the wrong row, Undo reverses the last change.

  7. Publish when you are done

Select Publish evaluations. Striveon tells you how many athletes are covered and what will be left without a value, then Release writes one evaluation per athlete.

What Striveon does when you publish

Each athlete gets one evaluation on their timeline, their development curve updates, and every active goal whose target skill's value changed moves forward on its own. Everyone involved is told once: one message per athlete and one for each coach, whether the evaluation covered three people or forty.

You do not have to finish in one sitting. Leave the page and the evaluation waits for you under Resume evaluation above your athlete list, on any device you sign in from.

Leaving somebody out and leaving a skill blank are two different things. A skipped athlete receives no evaluation at all; a skill you never touched keeps the level that athlete already had.

Published evaluations are a record and are not edited in place, the same as evaluations you write on a single profile. Run this again whenever you want the next round; each one becomes a new point on the curve.

Only one athlete to evaluate? Their own profile is the shorter way to the same evaluation, and it is also where a comment on a skill set is written. See evaluate an athlete.
