The Problem That Wouldn't Go Away
Jyväskylä, Finland, 2023. During a casual conversation with my padel coach, the same frustrations came up again—Excel spreadsheets for schedules, WhatsApp groups for coordination, scattered notes about player development. It was clear that better tools were needed.
Over the following months, conversations with coaches across different sports revealed the same patterns. Existing solutions were either too complex to use, focused on the wrong problems, or designed by people who had never actually coached. The available tools didn't address what coaches actually needed in their daily work.
By 2024, it became clear this was a problem worth solving. With a Master's degree in Information Systems Science and years of web development experience, combined with firsthand knowledge as both athlete and coach, Striveon development began seriously. The goal was simple: build tools that actually solve coaches' real problems.
Built from Real Experience
As an athlete: 10 years of competitive tennis and 3 years of coached padel showed me what systematic development looks like—and what happens when structure is missing. Good coaching transforms athletes, but only when it's properly organized.
As a coach: During part-time coaching as a young adult, the hardest part wasn't the actual coaching—it was the preparation. Hunting through scattered notes and Excel files, trying to create coherent training plans from fragmented information made sessions feel disjointed instead of purposeful.
As a developer: Years of building web applications taught me that the best software solves real problems simply. Striveon combines this technical foundation with genuine understanding of what coaches actually need in their daily work.
