Riku Pelkonen is the founder of Striveon, a coaching platform for sports clubs and teams. He personally built Striveon and every interactive tool on this site, and works on the product as an athlete, coach, and developer with a background in racquet sports.
Striveon's coaching resources are not written to claim expertise in every sport they cover. Their authority rests on two things we can stand behind: the Striveon app and every tool on this site are built by us, and every factual claim in our articles is verified against a cited primary source.
How we research and verify
Primary sources first. Rules, formulas, and statistics are checked against primary sources: official governing bodies and leagues (NFHS, Little League, the NCAA, MLB, and national sport federations), recognized statistical references, and, where a claim calls for it, peer-reviewed research and youth-sports authorities such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National Library of Medicine, and the Aspen Institute's Project Play. Every source is linked inline and gathered in a Sources & References list at the end of each guide, so you can check it yourself.
Built, not borrowed. Every interactive calculator and generator on this site, and the Striveon app itself, is built by us, not assembled from third-party widgets. Some of the workflows we write about are part of the Striveon app, while many of our standalone calculators are free tools we made for this site rather than app features. Either way, these are tools we built and maintain ourselves.
AI-assisted, human-verified. We use AI assistance to draft and structure articles, but no claim is published until it has been checked against a primary source and reviewed by a human. The verification, not the drafting, is what we stand behind.
Corrections welcome. If you spot an error, contact us and we will fix it and note the update.
