How to

Evaluate an athlete

Record where an athlete stands on each skill. Striveon turns every evaluation into their development curve and moves any matching goals forward.

Before you can evaluate, you need at least one skill set with skills defined. If the create button is greyed out, that is why. Define skill sets and skills.
  1. Open the athlete's profile

Go to Athletes and select the athlete you want to evaluate.

    Open Athletes(opens in new tab)
  2. Open the Evaluations tab

On the athlete's profile, select the Evaluations tab.

  3. Start a new evaluation

Select + next to the evaluation count, give it a title such as October review, and confirm. Striveon starts you from your last evaluation's ratings, so you only adjust what changed. Your first evaluation starts at the bottom of your scale.

  4. Rate each skill

For every skill set, set each skill's rating on your organization's scale. The overall rating updates as you go. Open a skill set's criteria if you want to check what each level means.

  5. Add context where it helps

Write a short comment on any skill set to explain a rating. This is optional, but it makes the evaluation easier to talk through later.

  6. Save the evaluation

    Select Save.

What Striveon does automatically

When you save, the athlete's development curve updates and any active goal tied to a skill whose rating you changed moves forward on its own, completing itself if it reaches its target.

To change a saved evaluation, delete it and create a new one. Evaluations are kept as a record, so they are not edited in place.
