Create an assessment template
A template defines a test you run again and again: what is measured, and in what units. Define it once, and every result you record afterwards lines up.
- Open the Assessment Templates tab
It is on the Skill Sets page.
Open the Assessment Templates tab(opens in new tab) - Create a new template
Select + (Create Assessment Template).
- Name the test
Enter a name such as 20m sprint. A description is optional.
- Define what is measured
A new template starts with one field. Name it, and choose its type: Time, Distance, Count, Rating, Yes/No, or Open observation.
- Set the field's details
For time and distance, tick the units you measure in. For a rating, set the lowest and highest value; Striveon suggests your organization's evaluation scale. Add instructions if the field needs them, and leave it required unless it is genuinely optional.
- Add the rest of the fields
Select Add Field for each further thing this test measures, and use the arrows to put them in the order you record them.
- Save the template
Select Create.
What Striveon does automatically
Once results exist, Striveon tracks them per athlete and builds the progression chart for that test. An assessment goal pointing at one of these fields moves on its own as you record.
From a template's card you can also record results for several athletes in one go, which is usually how testing days go.
