Skill Sets – Build the Foundation of Your Coaching
Build Skill Sets aligned with your coaching philosophy to organize and track the core competencies that drive your athletes' success.
From defining broad categories to monitoring specific skills, Skill Sets provide a structured framework for long-term athlete development.

Putting Skill Sets into Practice
Imagine you're coaching a group of competitive tennis players. You want them to improve not just their technical skills, but also their physical conditioning and mental toughness. Without a structured framework, it's challenging to monitor and guide their progress effectively.
With Skill Sets, you can create a clear development roadmap. Start by defining high-level Skill Sets, such as Physical Conditioning, Tactical Skills, and Mental Resilience. Under each Skill Set, add specific skills like Strength, Strategy, and Focus. During each season, you can prioritize which skills to focus on, track progress, and adjust as needed to ensure your athletes are always developing holistically.

How to Build and Use Skill Sets efficiently
Learn how to create Skill Sets and organize the underlying skills to support structured athlete development. Follow these steps to get started.
1.
Access the Skill Sets
Go to the Skill Sets page on the Striveon Coaching Platform to start creating your Skill Sets.
2.
Create a Skill Set (Main Category)
Define a new Skill Set that represents the core area you want to develop (e.g., Physical Conditioning, Tactical Skills). Give it a clear name and description.
3.
Add Skills to the Skill Set
Within each Skill Set, add individual skills that break down the main category into more specific competencies (e.g., for Physical Conditioning: Endurance, Agility, Strength). Customize each skill as needed.
4.
Monitor and Update
Review and update your Skill Sets regularly to ensure they align with your athletes' evolving development goals.
